Vibrant baisakhi mela celebrates culture and Tagore's legacy

Prayash UK hosted the Baisakhi Mela 2025 on 10th May at Lampton School Main Hall – a lively event celebrating both Baisakhi and Rabindra Jayanti. The afternoon brought together music, dance, food, and local shopping in a joyful mix of culture and tradition.The event was free and open to everyone, welcoming people from all communities to enjoy a wide range of performances, food stalls, and local business displays – all highlighting the beauty and richness of Indian heritage.This year’s Mela also marked the birthday of Rabindranath Tagore, adding a special artistic touch to the event. Audiences enjoyed inspiring performances by Dakshinayan UK and Nritya Tales. Rabindranath Tagore’s work and beliefs continue to resonate today, as they reflect every level of life—spiritual, social, and personal. His poems, songs, and stories inspire deep thought, kindness, and a strong connection to one’s roots.
