Singer Nam Tae Hyun, who has been part of a controversial case due to alleged methamphetamine use, is going to be making his official return to the music industry as a singer. The celebrity has been under public scrutiny since 2022 for the case.
Nam Tae Hyun returns to the stage in Seoul
The singer, who was sentenced to jail and probation, is all set to make his official return to the stage. The singer is preparing to perform at the 'K-pop Week in Hongdae' event on May 6. The event is set to be held in the West Bridge Live Hall, which is located in the Mapo-gu district of Seoul.
This is going to be the idol’s first ever public appearance since his involvement in a drug-related case as well as the revenge porn scandal, as reported by Allkpop.
The singer took to his social media platforms to share his thoughts on the incident. He shared that "It's been a long time since I've had the chance to greet you through a performance. A lot has happened, but as an artist who loves music and as someone who has matured a little more, I am returning to my place."
He also said that "Thanks to the love and support of those precious people around me, I was able to gather the courage to sing again. I’ll be showcasing my latest song, 'On the Edge of the Night', and a new track soon at this performance, so I hope you’re looking forward to it."
He has served one year in jail along with 2 months of probation since he was sentenced in 2022 for using the alleged drug in his home alongside his girlfriend at the time, Seo Eun Woo (formerly Seo Min Jae).

In the same social media post, the singer also shared that he will soon be debuting his new and original song titled ‘On the Edge of the Night'. He said, I will also be debuting my new song 'On the Edge of the Night' and another upcoming track for the first time during this performance, so please look forward to it!
