Addressing the significance of his role, Bobby explained that actors aspire to take on characters that are completely different from their real selves. 'Aashram', which delves into sensitive and controversial themes, resonated with audiences due to its reflection of reality. He added that it depicted what is happening in the country, which contributed to its widespread reach.
The actor further revealed that he initially refrained from discussing his role with his family, as he wanted their reactions to be organic once the show aired.

Bobby shared that parents often have reservations about certain career choices. Aware that conventional hero roles were not coming his way, he was determined to explore diverse characters. He accepted the role without informing anyone and patiently awaited his family’s reaction after the show’s release. When the overwhelming praise finally came, it felt surreal—like living a dream. "Isiliye main jab yeh role accept kiya, tab maine kisi ko bataaya nahi. Main bas wait kar raha that ki jab show aayega tabh kya reaction hoga?" he added.
His mother received numerous calls from friends, praising his performance. Bobby was also delighted to receive appreciation from his father, Dharmendra, and brother, Sunny Deol. They showered him with praise, mentioning that they had received countless phone calls from friends and well-wishers sharing their reviews of the show and Bobby’s performance.
Bobby credited Aashram director Prakash Jha for believing in him. According to him, all actors strive to entertain the audience and do their best to bring characters to life.
Bobby made his South Indian debut in 'Kanguva' alongside Suriya and was recently seen in 'Daaku Maharaj'. He is reportedly set to star in a comedy thriller with Saif Ali Khan and a thriller directed by Anurag Kashyap, featuring Sanya Malhotra.
