Earlier, in an interview with Stardust magazine, Sridevi shared the story behind the time she wore a burkha to a movie theatre. As a famous actress in South India, she found it hard to live a normal life. While managing her career in both Bollywood and the South, she often stayed home in Madras watching TV instead of going to theatres. She rarely attended movie screenings, but once, after missing a trial show of a Kamal Haasan film, she decided to watch it in a theatre disguised in a burkha. She admitted feeling scared that people might still recognize her despite the disguise.

Sridevi’s Approach to Decision-Making

Throughout her acting career, Sridevi relied on her mother to make all important decisions for her. She trusted that her parents had greater wisdom and authority to guide her choices. However, once she became a mother herself, she was resolved to take control and make decisions independently for her own children.
