Bigg Boss Kannada fame Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan face legal trouble under arms act over viral social media reel

Reality show contestants Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan G, popularly known as Bujjjjii, have found themselves in legal hot water after a viral Instagram reel allegedly showcased them brandishing a long stick. An FIR has been filed against the duo at the Basaveshwaranagar Police Station under the Arms Act.
The complaint, lodged by PSI Bhanu Prakash, accuses the Bigg Boss Kannada stars of using a stick in a manner that could cause public fear and disturb peace. The incident reportedly took place while they were filming Instagram reels, with the video later uploaded to Rajath’s Instagram account under the handle ‘Buzzy.’
The police complaint outlines several accusations:
A short 18-second video, which has since gone viral, was provided as evidence in the case. The complainant alleges that the stick shown in the video qualifies as a prohibited weapon under the Arms Act. PSI Prakash, who monitors social media activity in the area, has launched an investigation into the incident.
Both Vinay Gowda and Rajath Kishan have a history of reality show stardom, having previously appeared in ‘Boys v/s Girls’ and as contestants in Bigg Boss Kannada Seasons 10 and 11, respectively. The duo is known for their close friendship and on-screen camaraderie. However, this reel, which was reportedly filmed behind the scenes, has now cast a shadow on their reputation.
According to initial reports, the duo was required to hold the stick during filming for a reality show. However, their decision to record and upload behind-the-scenes content appears to have violated legal boundaries.
The police are investigating whether the duo’s actions constituted an intentional attempt to create fear or if it was a case of poor judgment. If found guilty, the reality stars may face serious legal consequences under the Arms Act.
