Highlights: Expected result dates for CBSE, PSEB, MPBSE, HPBOSE, JAC, and other boards for class 10th and 12th exams

As the academic year nears its conclusion, lakhs of students across India are eagerly awaiting their board examination results for 2025. While official confirmation from various state education boards is still awaited, tentative timelines have been drawn based on past trends, ongoing evaluations, and examination schedules.

This article provides a comprehensive look at the expected result declaration dates for four major school education boards— CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), Punjab (PSEB), Madhya Pradesh (MPBSE), Himachal Pradesh (HPBOSE), and Jharkhand (JAC). Alongside estimated result dates, readers will find practical information on pass percentages, exam conduct, and post-result processes.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education)
The CBSE Class 10th and 12th exams were conducted between February 15 and April 4, 2025. The expected date for the announcement of results is likely to fall between May 7 and May 12, 2025, with results anticipated to be declared around 1:00 PM IST. The evaluation process is expected to conclude by the end of April 2025, making the May timeframe quite plausible for the result declaration. Students can access their results on the official CBSE websites, including cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and cbseresults.nic.in.

Punjab board likely to declare Class 10th and 12th results between April 30 and May 5
The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is expected to announce the Class 10th and 12th results between April 30 and May 5, 2025, based on current estimates. Traditionally, the results are released during a press conference led by the board chairperson, with online links activated shortly thereafter.

For 2025, Class 10th examinations were held from March 10 to April 4 in a single shift from 11:00 AM to 2:15 PM. Class 12th exams ran from February 19 to April 4 during the same hours. Practical exams for vocational and NSQF subjects were conducted in phases—Class 12th between January 27 and February 4, and from April 2 to April 17 for other subjects. Class 10th practicals for NSQF subjects occurred from February 27 to March 4.

An estimated 2.81 lakh students registered for Class 10th and approximately 2.84 lakh for Class 12th in 2025. The 2024 results saw a pass percentage of 97.24% for Class 10th and 93.04% for Class 12th. Girls outperformed boys in both classes by 1.64% and 5% respectively.

Results will be accessible on official portals such as punjab.indiaresults.com and digilocker.gov.in using roll number or registration details. SMS and DigiLocker options are also available. Original marksheets will be issued by schools within 10–15 days of result publication.

MP board results expected in the first week of May
The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) is tentatively set to release the results for both Class 10th and 12th in the first week of May 2025. While no specific date has been confirmed, result announcements traditionally occur around 4:00 PM via a press conference.

Class 10th exams were held from February 27 to March 19, while Class 12th exams ran from February 25 to March 25. Both were conducted in a single morning shift from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Practical exams took place between February 10 and mid-March for Class 10th, and until March 25 for Class 12th.

In 2024, approximately 8.21 lakh students appeared for the Class 10th examination and 7.27 lakh for Class 12th. Similar figures are expected for 2025. The pass percentages last year were notably lower than national averages—58.10% for Class 10th and 64.49% for Class 12th—with girls outperforming boys by over 7% in both categories.

Students can check their results on mpresults.nic.in or mpbse.nic.in using their roll number. Original marksheets will be provided by schools after the online result publication.
