He’s a good friend of mine, inside the field it should be like that, but we don’t take things personally. (On his bowling) I wasn’t getting as much purchase today, so had to bowl defensively and had to do a job for the team. The pitch played better than it looked. (On Suryakumar Yadav) He played well, he swept all my good length balls. If someone plays a good shot, you have to credit the batter. I have to credit Shubman, he kept advising me on what to bowl to Surya since he’s seen him in the Indian nets. Looking forward to this season, I've been very honest with myself and worked very hard. Have watched a lot of games and worked on a lot of things for this season, so looking forward to this season.
Tough to put it together, I think in batting and bowling we were 15-20 runs short in both places. We were not professional in the field, we made basic errors and that cost us 20-25 runs and in a T20 game that is quite a lot. They (GT openers) batted brilliantly, only a couple of deliveries here and there. They were quite exceptional, they didn't take many chances, they did the right stuff, they were able to get runs without playing many risky shots. We were doing catch-up since then. At the moment we all need to take responsibility, it's early stage. Batters have to come to the party, hopefully they do that soon. On this wicket they (slower deliveries) were the toughest balls, some were shooting, some were bouncing, as batters it becomes difficult.

With Hardik Pandya on 9 (13) and the big wicket of Suryakumar Yadav falling for 48 (28), Prasidh Krishna has been superb, getting the key breakthrough. He bowled a brilliant slower delivery to SKY, who tried to loft it but only managed to toe-end it to Shubman Gill at long-off. This wicket has given Gujarat Titans a significant edge in the game. The key moment came with the dismissal of Minz, who tried to loft a short delivery from Sai Kishore but got an outside edge that was easily caught. Suryakumar continues to look dangerous, particularly with his sweep shots, as he launched Sai Kishore for a big six earlier in the over. Now, MI will need to rely on their lower order to build partnerships and accelerate the scoring.

GT vs MI Live: MI lose Rohit Sharma
After two overs, Mumbai Indians are off to a strong start despite Rohit Sharma's dismissal. Tilak Varma has been the key contributor, striking 16 runs off just 8 balls, including two fours and a six. Rabada, though expensive with 15 runs off his first over, is still a dangerous bowler, and Mumbai will need to keep their momentum going in the next few overs. The chase is still in its early stages, and Mumbai has a good opportunity to capitalize on the strong start. Siraj gives away 6 runs off the next over.

GT vs MI Live: Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler take Gujarat Titans to 196/8 against Mumbai Indians
Satyanarayana Raju claims two wickets. Rashid Khan is caught by Hardik Pandya for 6 runs, and Sai Kishore is run out by Rickelton for 1 run. Despite hitting a six earlier, Rabada ends up on 7* as Gujarat Titans finish their innings at 196/8.
With Gujarat Titans posting a competitive total of 196/8, Mumbai Indians will face a challenging chase. The Titans' bowling attack, featuring experienced bowlers like Rashid Khan and Sai Kishore, along with some late wickets, will make it difficult for Mumbai to accelerate. The pitch may offer some assistance to the spinners, and the pressure of chasing a total over 190 could make the task even harder. Mumbai will need strong contributions from their top-order batsmen, particularly from key players like Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav, to keep the chase on track. It will be a tough ask, but with a few partnerships, Mumbai could still make a game of it.

A bit unsure of this pitch, definitely not like the one that was used for the GT vs PBKS game. It is a different clay to the other surface, and this pitch could play a bit two-paced. The pitch looks a bit patchy, where 180 could be par. There will be enough for the bowlers, for change of pace. New ball might kiss off the surface. Don’t think it will be as good batting conditions as the earlier game at this venue. Both teams look consistent, they’d both like to chase just in case there is some dew, but don’t think this surface suits one team over the other. You got to play your best cricket to win.
Batted first plenty of times here, so nothing changes for us. It is all about assessing the conditions and seeing what target we can set, and if we are chasing it is about how to get to that target. We have got the same team, might see one change with the impact sub. We want to have a lefty - righty combination, and Jos has been playing at 3 for England, so nothing changes for him.
We'll bowl first. The simple reason is we don't know how the pitch will play, plus the dew factor. Only last year we played on black soil, otherwise we have been playing on red soil. Last year, we had the game under wraps but couldn't finish it. The prep has been fantastic, the boys are excited and we back each other, be there for each other. Very happy stage. I come back, and the others we are keeping the options open. Always about playing good cricket, planning right and enjoying the game.

MI vs GT IPL Live Score: High-stakes battle as MI and GT seek first win
With both Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans desperate to register their first win of the season, this game holds immense significance. MI’s break between matches has allowed them to regroup, but their form remains a concern, especially in the bowling department. GT, on the other hand, will have to find the right team balance and ensure their key players deliver. With a packed stadium in Ahmedabad and a high-scoring contest on the cards, expect an intense battle as these two teams go all out for their first points of the tournament. Who will emerge victorious in this crucial clash?
MI vs GT Live Score: Will Mumbai Indians’ batting fire on a better pitch?
Mumbai Indians had a tough outing at Chepauk, where the sluggish pitch didn’t allow their batting lineup to flourish. But now, playing at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the conditions are expected to be far more favorable for stroke-makers. Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Tilak Varma will have the opportunity to go big, while Suryakumar Yadav will look to regain form. With Pandya back and possibly slotting into the middle order, MI’s batting should have more depth. Can they make the most of the batting-friendly conditions and put up a strong total against GT?

IPL Live Score: Gujarat Titans face selection dilemma
Gujarat Titans have their own set of problems to address. The team relies heavily on Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan for wickets, but the lack of experienced Indian pacers could hurt them in the long run. Mohammed Siraj’s expensive outing in the first match exposed their bowling vulnerabilities. Additionally, skipper Shubman Gill’s performance with the bat will be crucial, as GT’s middle order has looked shaky. The team might also consider including Glenn Phillips, who offers off-spin as a second bowling option, instead of Sherfane Rutherford, who struggled in the last game. Will GT get their combination right this time?
GT vs MI Live: Can Mumbai Indians fix their bowling woes?
Mumbai Indians’ biggest concern heading into this game is their bowling attack. Without Jasprit Bumrah in the opener, their bowling lacked bite, and even their lower-order batting seemed fragile. The absence of Pandya in the first match also meant they missed a key all-rounder who could contribute with both bat and ball. However, with Pandya back, MI will hope to find the right balance in their playing XI. The real test will be whether they can contain Gujarat’s strong batting lineup on a pitch that has already produced high-scoring games. Can MI’s bowling unit step up this time?
MI vs GT Live Score: Hardik Pandya returns as Mumbai Indians seek first win in IPL 2025
The much-awaited return of Hardik Pandya from suspension is set to bring much-needed stability to Mumbai Indians (MI) as they gear up to face Gujarat Titans (GT) in Ahmedabad. Both teams are yet to open their account in this IPL season after disappointing losses in their respective opening matches. MI struggled against Chennai Super Kings, while GT fell short in a high-scoring thriller against Punjab Kings. With the Narendra Modi Stadium expected to produce another batting-friendly surface, this encounter promises fireworks. Will Pandya’s comeback be the game-changer for Mumbai, or will Gujarat bounce back stronger?
