Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru took the field here on the back of consecutive losses here on Thursday. In front of a packed Chinnaswamy stadium, the Giants finally broke their streak as they beat hosts RCB by chasing down 126 with six wickets and 21 balls to spare.

Ashleigh Gardner made short work of the target by scoring 58 off 31 balls before Phoebe Litchfield completed the formalities, staying unbeaten on 30 off 21 balls.
RCB had toiled to 125/7 in 20 overs as Deandre Dottin (2/31) and Tanuja Kanwar (2/16) led Giants' disciplined bowling effort. Opting to bowl, Dottin and skipper Ashleigh Gardner (1/22) silenced the crowd by removing opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge (4) and the inform Ellyse Perry for a duck in the first two overs.
Reeling at 16/2 after two overs, skipper Smriti Mandhana (10) and Raghvi Bisht (22, 1x4, 1x6) struggled to get the scoreboard ticking.
