3 taxi drivers summoned in escort service website case
Panaji: The crime branch of Goa police summoned three North Goa-based taxi drivers regarding the investigation of the escort website-based prostitution racket case.
As part of the investigation, the authorities are reviewing records of taxi rides and questioning drivers who may have transported individuals and victims involved in the prostitution ring. The drivers Imam Sutar from Paliem, Umesh Bagli from Reis Magos, and Zeeshan Ali Sheikh from Mapusa are being questioned about their possible involvement or knowledge of the illegal activities.
The crime branch had earlier arrested four accused: Syed Usman, 54, and Mohammad Mohebbulla, 30,natives of Andhra Pradesh; Yogesh Kumar, 42, of Delhi; and Subash Pradhan, an Odisha man residing in Nerul. They were booked under the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
